Instruction for Visa Application

1. The applicant is advised to apply visa at the Royal Thai Embassy , No. 29, Queen’s Gate, London SW7 5JB during 09.30-12.30 hrs. every working days of the Embassy.

2. The visa application form can be downloaded from website; http://www.thaiembassyuk.org.uk. In general, each applicant is required to submit one visa application form with two recent passport size photographs. However, if the applicant are nationals of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Sudan, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, Egypt and Palestinian State, the applicant is required to submit three visa application forms with three photographs together with confirmed air ticket, address in Thailand and Bank Statement. It takes two working days to process the visa at the Embassy.

3. The applicant’s passport must have at least 6 - month validity on the applying date. The visa fee must be paid in pound sterling cash only.

4. The visa applicants can apply visas through tourist agencies in UK, except the applicants who are nationals of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Sudan, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, Egypt and Palestinian State are requested to file an application in person at the Thai Embassy where they have their permanent residence.

5. Every category of visas, except for non immigrant visa for business purpose, to enter Thailand, excluding UN official or official of International Organizations, are suspended to holders of passport and travel document of Afghanistan and Iraq including Afghans and Iraqis who are holding travel documents of other countries.

6. The nearest underground stations are Gloucester Station and South Kensington Station.

7. A visa is issued by a Thai Embassy or Consulate. A visa entitles the holder to travel to Thailand and apply for admission; it does not guarantee entry. An immigration inspector at the port of entry determines the visa holders’ eligibility for admission into Thailand.
